Chapter Philanthropy

Rho Delta is a proud supporter of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Our local hospital is Hurley Medical Center, located in Flint, MI. We host multiple events each year to raise money for CMN Hospitals as well as travel to Flint to volunteer at Hurley Medical Center.  In prior years, we have sent as many as 20 sisters to participate in their Phone-A-Thon!  

Every year, we are proud to host our Soup, Salad, and Breadsticks Dinner at our chapter's house, where the public can come and enjoy a delicious meal served by the sisters of Phi Mu and catered by several donors.  In addition to delicious food, guests can participate in Pie-A-Phi: for $1, you can pie a lovely sister in the face, for charity!   All proceeds are donated to CMN Hospitals. This Spring, we are hosting a Miracle Week partnered with Sigma Alpha Epsilon and Phi Delta Epsilon, where we will be selling buttons, and participating in philanthropy events together to raise money for our mutual philanthropy: Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Every Spring we host an event that benefits the Phi Mu Foundation. Phi Mu Foundation raises money for values-based leadership programs, academic scholarships, and to aid sisters in time of need (natural disasters, house fires, etc).

On a local basis, we are proud to support Special Olympics Michigan. Each year, Mount Pleasant hosts the state Summer Games on Central Michigan University's campus and our sisters are thrilled to volunteer with the athletes. Additionally, our sisters travel all the way to Traverse City in the wintertime to volunteer for a week at the state Winter Games. Most recently, our sisters have been eager to participate in the Polar Plunge, an event that raises funds for Special Olympics where participants jump into a freezing cold pool of water!  Last year, our team was ranked in the top five highest fundraising teams as well as having raised the most money of any Greek Organization.  We contributed over $3,000!  We are proud of the strong impact our sisters have on our campus and community by supporting Special Olympics. We are happy to donate our time whenever we can!
